ITINERARY:

Day 1: Pamplona

Meeting at 11:00 in the Pamplona train station. Departure in the direction of Saint Jean Pied du Port. Accommodation at the downtown hotel in St Jean. Free time to settle in the hotel and lunch. In the afternoon visit with the guide of all the points that appear in the film in Saint Jean. After the visit we will have a meeting for the presentation of the tour and the logistics of it. Welcome dinner (included). Visits points 1-7.

Day 2: Roncesvalles

Breakfast. Today we will visit the most mythical stage of the French Way, the Route of Napoleon to Roncesvalles. We will climb on our way to the Virgin of Biakorri and the stage on foot today will be from the Cross of Thibault (10 kms to Roncesvalles). In this section we will visit the mountain landscapes in which the son of Tom disappears. In addition we will enter Spain from France crossing the border to the Alto de Lepoeder. This stage on foot is the hardest of all the Camino de Santiago, but the chosen section has only a medium difficulty. Those who wish can go to Roncesvalles in our transport. Arrival in Roncesvalles. Accommodation and time to eat and rest. In the afternoon visit of Roncesvalles and its main attractions as well as all the places that appear in THE WAY. Today we will attend the exciting Pilgrim's Mass that takes place in the Collegiate Church, where we will receive the blessing of the pilgrim. Dinner at the hotel. Visits to points 8 to 13.

Day 3: Pamplona

Breakfast at the hotel. Exit in our vehicle until the starting point of our stage on foot. Today we will walk 13 kilometers through the beautiful forests and landscapes of the Navarrese Pyrenees until we reach the Bridge of Rabies in Zubiri, where the scene of the fall into the water of his backpack and subsequent bath to recover it was filmed. After the stage on foot we will move to Pamplona. Accommodation and time to rest before visiting the city with a local guide. Pamplona, famous for its enclosures in San Fermín, immortalized by Hemingway, will show us all its charms. Day 4: Logroño

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel in our vehicle to the stage departure point. Today our stage on foot will be 11 kms to the Church of Santa Maria de Eunate. We will ascend the famous Alto del perdón ``Where the Way of the Wind joins the Way of the Stars``. A beautiful stage for the average Navarre in which we will cross cultivation fields and typical villages full of stories and legends related to the Camino de Santiago. After the stage on foot we will move to Puente la Reina for a visit of its historic center and know the most famous bridge of the Camino, symbol of the A.P.O.C. (American Pilgrims on the Way). Free time to eat. After lunch we will continue on the Camino until our next stop at the famous wine fountain in Irache. After this visit we will still make another stop to see other locations of the film in addition to knowing the beautiful Church of Los Arcos, one of the jewels of the French Way. Arrival in Logroño and accommodation. Free dinner Our guide will offer to accompany you to one of the best-known pintxos routes in Spain on Laurel Street, very close to the hotel. Visits to points 19 to 25.

Day 5: Santo Domingo

Breakfast. Visit the center of Logroño visiting the most important points of the city and that are along the Camino. After this visit we left to visit Haro, capital of the world-famous Rioja wine. We will make a visit to one of its best known wineries, where we will taste a Rioja tasting menu paired with its excellent wines. Today, like the Dutch at The Way, we will enjoy an excellent lamb. After lunch we will move to one of the most important towns of the French Way, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, to learn about its legends and its magnificent cathedral. Dinner and accommodation in Santo Domingo. Visits of points 25 to 29.

Day 6: Burgos

Breakfast. Departure in our transport to the point of the Camino where we will start our stage today (9 Kms). We will walk the Montes de Oca to the Monastery of San Juan de Ortega, full of history and that houses one of the most beautiful Romanesque capitals of Spain. We will finish the stage in Agés, a typical Castilian town near Burgos capital. After the walk we will move to Burgos. Accommodation at the hotel and lunch included in typical Castilian restaurant closely related to the movie THE WAY. After lunch we will visit the city with a local guide to know its main monuments as well as the different locations of the shooting of THE WAY. Free dinner can accompany the guide in another interesting visit to the tapas area of the city center. Visits to points 30 to 35.

Day 7: León

Breakfast. After breakfast we will move to our starting point for our stage on foot. Today we will know the central section of the French Way, which crosses the Plateau, for some the hardest part of the Camino but nevertheless for others the most special due to its solitude and infinite spaces. We will walk 10.4 km through the empty landscapes of the cereal fields. After the walk we will continue following the route of the path to the restaurant where we will have a lunch in typical Meson del Camino. After lunch we will continue route to Leon, but not before making a stop to see those places that traversed the characters of our beloved movie and are in some of the most beautiful points of the road. Arrival in Leon and accommodation. Free dinner, being able to meet with the guide the famous ``Barrio Humedo`` of Leon and its magnificent gastronomic offer. You visit points 36 to 40.

Day 8: Astorga

Breakfast. Visit Leon with a local guide. Today we will know what is probably the most beautiful Gothic cathedral of the whole Way in the city of Leon, of Roman foundation and that will surprise us with other architectural gems that go from the Romanesque of the 10th century to Gaudí in the 19th century. After the visit of Leon we will move to Astorga, but not before stopping at Puente Orbigo, an obligatory passage of the pilgrims for more than 1000 years and which is the longest medieval bridge in Europe. We will know its legends before arriving at Castrillo de los Polvazares, another typical village of the Camino and which is a national monument to enjoy a typical cocido maragato. After lunch, arrival at the hotel in Astorga and free afternoon to visit the Cathedral and various monuments such as the Museum of the Ways located in the Episcopal Palace, the work of Gaudí. Free dinner Visit point 41.

Day 9: Molinaseca

Breakfast. Today we resume our pilgrimage on foot to walk 7.5 km to the point probably more special for pilgrims, the Cruz de Ferro. We will start our walk taking a coffee to know a hostel of pilgrims typical of the Camino. After this interesting visit we walked to the highest point of the Camino de Santiago where for centuries pilgrims have deposited a stone brought from their places of origin and that is full of symbolism and meaning. After the walk we will not drive to the town of Molinaseca and its Roman bridge, one of the most charming villages on the Camino. Free lunch in Molinaseca. In the afternoon we will visit the center of Ponferrada to see the Templar Castle and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Oak. Dinner and accommodation in Molinaseca. Visit points 42 to 44.

Day 10: Monte do Gozo

Breakfast Today is the day of our arrival in Galicia, where Santiago de Compostela awaits us and the last and most popular stretch of the French Way. Our first stop will be in the village of O Cebreiro, gateway to Galicia, with its typical architecture of Celtic pallozas and another of the special points for pilgrims. Visit the village to see its corners and the Church of Santa Maria la Real de O Cebreiro, the ninth century, and the legend of the Chalice of the Miracle. After the visit and faithfully following the path of the Camino and following the pilgrims we will go, reliza stops at emblematic points of the Camino to the town of Melide, where pilgrims traditionally stop to taste the famous octopus feira and other Galician delicacies. Food in typical Melide pulperia. After lunch and with renewed strength we will walk one of the most beautiful sections of the Camino in Galicia to the town of Boente (5.6 km) After this walk we will go to the door of Santiago to see the famous Monte do Gozo, place from which the pilgrims could see for the first time the towers of the cathedral. Dinner and overnight at Monte do Gozo. Visit points 45 and 46.

Day 11: Santiago

Breakfast. Today we will enter as pilgrims to Santiago, walking the last kilometers from Monte do Gozo to the cathedral where the remains of the Apostle rest to attend the pilgrim's mass and see its famous Botafumeiro (if it is operational). After the mass we will arrive at our accommodation. Free time for lunch In the afternoon we will visit on foot with a local guide of the historical center of the city, patrimony of the humanity and we will go up to the covers of the cathedral to enjoy the most beautiful views of the city. Farewell dinner in Santiago. Visit points 47 to 50.

Day 12: Santiago

Breakfast. Today, like our pilgrims in the movie and thousands of them from Santiago we will go to the coast, to the ocean. We will drive to Muxía, point of the final scenes of the movie The Way to know the Sanctuary of the Virxe da Barca and conclude the visits to all the points of the Way that we have known by the hand of these characters. After visiting the place where the legend has it that the Virgin Mary appeared to Santiago, we will visit the town of Finisterre, the final destination of all the pilgrims going to the coast. The lighthouse is the place with the marker of Km 0 and called the end of the world since the time of the Romans. Lunch at a typical fish and seafood restaurant in Finisterre. After lunch, return to Santiago de Compostela. Afternoon and dinner free. Visit point 51.

Day 13: Santiago
